Brief description of the work:
Structural, functional, and evolutionary biochemistry applied to probe the active site features and catalysis in simple and complex metalloproteins in hyperthermophiles and mammals;
Engineering new Escherichia coli amino acid auxotrophic expression host strains and applying them to the metalloenzyme studies.
